We Are Focusing On What Matters Most
The Junior League of Lexington is committed to our Mission of “developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.” To achieve this, members of our Community Education and Research committee conduct regular deep research into our community needs. By developing a strong understanding of what our community’s needs are, as well as what our own capacity is, we are developing strong relationships with local nonprofits to make a significant difference in the lives of our citizens.
We Are Developing the Potential of Women
The Junior League of Lexington is more than just a volunteer organization. Through intentional, directed partnerships with local nonprofits, we are developing our members’ community and civic leadership potential. Our approach to Community Impact drives meaningful change in our community while simultaneously developing skilled volunteers and civic leaders.
We are Partnering for Meaningful and Long-Lasting Change
The Community Impact model drives long-term partnerships with local nonprofit organizations, encouraging our members to explore a wide spectrum of strategies and relationships. This encourages long-term solutions beyond relieving the immediate needs that the community might have. This long-view approach allows the Junior League of Lexington to fulfill our Mission of “improving communities” in a meaningful and systematic way.
